Job Description: A qualified candidate will have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or in a related discipline, with a focus on the software development lifecycle. This individual should have strong problem solving skills and enjoy the analytical process of coding software solutions in that support documented business processes. Accountability and attention to detail is a must in this role as a successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in all phases of the SDLC. This role will be based in Chandler, AZ and will work on a variety of projects supporting customers across the United States. Projects range in duration from a few weeks to four months and offer great variety and challenges.
Key Requirements:
- B.S. or Associates degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.
- 1 to 4 years experience as a Software Engineer with the ability to demonstrate an understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience working with open source technologies such as PHP & RubyOnRails is preferred.
- Experience working with object oriented approaches and technologies such as Java and .NET are also valuable, but not required.
- Experience working with relational database technology is required (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, SQLServer, Postgres).
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Self directed mindset and willingness to learn and grown in all processes related to software development over time including functional analysis, technical design, programming, testing and deploying of solutions.
- Basic operating system knowledge (Windows or Linux is acceptable though Linux is preferable.
- A willingness and ability to travel within the United States up to 25% on an as needed basis.
